Today, the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an international scientific and practical conference on “Alternative Methods of Resolving Economic Disputes: National and International Experience.”

The event brought together experts in the relevant fields, international arbitration and mediation specialists, lawyers, scholars, and judges from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and China.

The conference addressed the resolution of economic disputes through mediation and arbitration, mechanisms for pre-trial dispute settlement, enforcement of mediated settlement agreements, the opportunities and legal risks of digital mediation, as well as the use of mediation in cross-border commercial disputes.

Participants also exchanged views on international best practices in the field of mediation, effective methods for the pre-trial resolution of economic disputes, and modern mechanisms for alternative dispute resolution.

The views and proposals expressed during the conference will contribute to the prompt and effective resolution of economic disputes, the development of mediation and arbitration institutions, the reduction of the workload of courts, and the enhancement of the effectiveness of justice.
