A training course entitled “Crimes in the Field of Information Technologies: From Detection to Judicial Decision” was organized in the Khorezm region by the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The training was held on 11–12 June and brought together judges, members of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and experts in the relevant field.During the sessions, participants discussed current issues related to combating cybercrime, the use of digital forensics, methods of handling electronic evidence, blockchain technologies, and crypto-assets.At the conclusion of the course, certificates were awarded to the participants. It was noted that such training programs contribute to strengthening the knowledge and practical skills of judges in adjudicating cases related to information technologies.

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. PF–141 of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Justice is tasked with engaging international experts in its educational programs.As part of the implementation of this task, Professor Katarzyna Laskowska of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Białystok (Poland) visited the Academy of Justice. The purpose of the visit was to introduce judges attending professional development courses to advanced foreign experience in criminal law and criminology, as well as to strengthen academic cooperation.During the visit, Professor Laskowska met with N. Salayev, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Information-Analytical Affairs of the Academy. The parties discussed prospective areas of cooperation and expected outcomes of future joint activities.Professor Katarzyna Laskowska then delivered a lecture for Academy participants on the topic “The Current State of Crime in Poland and the Factors Influencing Its Development.”For reference, Professor Katarzyna Laskowska is the Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Faculty of Law of the University of Białystok and a renowned scholar in criminology and criminal law. She is the author of more than 240 scientific publications. Her research focuses on organized crime, state security, domestic violence, and criminological issues in Central Asian countries.

A closing ceremony was held at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the professional development course organized for deputy chairpersons of regional and equivalent courts. The training program covered the essence and significance of judicial and legal reforms, effective cooperation between courts and mass media, contemporary geopolitical developments, stress and time management, as well as current issues in judicial practice.The participants also became acquainted with the activities of the Supreme Court and took part in practical sessions focused on analyzing judicial practice in criminal, civil, administrative, and economic cases.The course contributed to strengthening the professional knowledge and skills of deputy court chairpersons, enhancing their managerial capacity, and improving the quality of justice administration.At the conclusion of the event, participants who successfully completed the course were awarded certificates of completion.

A meeting was held at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation of the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ, Malta). During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further strengthening cooperation between the two institutions. In particular, they exchanged views on organizing a seven-day international training program in autumn 2026 for the Academy’s trainees and faculty members on combating terrorism and cybercrime.The participants also considered issues related to capacity building, the introduction of advanced international practices into the educational process, the signing of a memorandum of understanding, and the implementation of joint educational and research projects.At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and launch new joint initiatives.

Today, a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Cooperation was held between the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the event, the parties discussed issues related to capacity building in the field of anti-corruption, development of research activities, introduction of modern educational programs, and exchange of experience.It was emphasized that this cooperation will contribute to fostering zero tolerance for corruption, training highly qualified professionals, and further strengthening scientific potential.At the conclusion of the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

O‘zbekiston Respublikasi Odil sudlov akademiyasida BMTning Inson huquqlari bo‘yicha Oliy komissari Boshqarmasining Markaziy Osiyo bo‘yicha mintaqaviy bo‘linmasi vakillari bilan uchrashuv bo‘lib o‘tdi. Uchrashuvda inson huquqlari sohasidagi hamkorlikning istiqbolli yo‘nalishlari, yuridik ta’lim yo‘nalishi talabalari uchun BMTning inson huquqlari tizimi va xalqaro standartlari bo‘yicha ma’rifiy mashg‘ulotlarni tashkil etish masalalari muhokama qilindi.Shuningdek, BMTning Inson huquqlari bo‘yicha Oliy komissari Boshqarmasining Markaziy Osiyo mintaqasidagi ustuvor faoliyat yo‘nalishlari yuzasidan fikr almashilib, kelgusidagi hamkorlik istiqbollari ko‘rib chiqildi.Tadbir konstruktiv muloqot ruhida o‘tib, tomonlar o‘rtasidagi hamkorlikni yanada rivojlantirish yuzasidan o‘zaro manfaatli takliflar bildirildi.
