A SEMINAR-TRAINING ON “ACADEMIC INTEGRITY — A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY” WAS HELD A seminar-training on the topic “Academic Integrity — A Shared Responsibility” was held by the Council for Academic Integrity and Ethical Development. The seminar-training focused on the importance of strict adherence to the principles of academic integrity and further strengthening responsibility in educational and research activities. The event, attended by the Academy’s professors, lecturers, and doctoral researchers, provided detailed information on the activities of the Council, the procedure for submitting educational and scientific literature, as well as the essence and key principles of the Academic Integrity Policy.

In accordance with Paragraph 8 of Presidential Decree No. PF-141 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 21 August 2025, “On Measures to Fundamentally Improve the System of Training Highly Qualified Personnel in the Field of Justice,” it has been stipulated that professional development courses for sitting judges on complex categories of cases, as determined by the Supreme Court, shall be organized. To implement the provisions of this Decree, the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched online short-term professional development courses for sitting judges. In particular, training sessions have been organized on the topic “Judicial Practice in Resolving Disputes Related to the Division of Joint Marital Property” for judges of civil courts, and “Disputes Arising from Public Procurement” for judges of economic courts. The training sessions are conducted by E. Sabirov, Associate Professor of the Academy, O'. Razikov, Judge of the Supreme Court, R. Berdiyarov, Lecturer at the Academy, and B. Isroilov, Deputy Chairperson of the Namangan Regional Court. These courses are intended to promote a uniform judicial practice in the adjudication of complex cases, ensure the correct application of legislation, and further strengthen judges’ professional knowledge and practical skills.

The Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been announced among the winners of the state-funded research project competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The winning projects are “An Electronic System for Developing the Psychological Profile of Candidates for Judicial Office” and “Development of the ‘Court Trial Simulation’ Electronic Platform.”The two projects have secured state research grants totaling UZS 3.593651 billion.Scheduled for implementation during 2026–2028, the projects aim to introduce modern approaches to assessing candidates for judicial office, enhance the professional development of judges and judicial candidates, and contribute to training highly qualified personnel for the judiciary.

The Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), organized a training course entitled “Information Technology Crimes: From Detection to Court Judgment” in the Zaamin District of the Jizzakh Region. During the training course, held on 29–30 July, judges explored modern approaches to detecting and adjudicating crimes in the field of information technology.The sessions covered practical aspects of combating cybercrime, the capabilities of digital forensics, methods of handling electronic evidence, blockchain technologies, issues related to crypto-assets, and other relevant topics.At the conclusion of the course, participants were awarded certificates. It was noted that the course would further strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of judges and other professionals in effectively handling cases involving information technology.

The Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Association of Women Judges of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at further developing their mutual cooperation. The Memorandum will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the Academy and the Association in education, research, and practice, enhancing the professional capacity of judges, particularly women judges, developing their modern knowledge and skills, as well as supporting research in the judicial and legal field.

A press conference in the form of an open dialogue was held at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan to inform the public about the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PF-141 dated 21 August 2025, the Academy’s performance during the first half of 2026, as well as the admission process for the master’s degree program and professional retraining courses. The event was attended by a representative of the Supreme Judicial Council, the Academy’s leadership, and representatives of the mass media. Participants were provided with information on the training of highly qualified personnel for the judicial system, admission procedures, educational and research activities, digital transformation, international cooperation, and the Academy’s strategic priorities for the future. At the conclusion of the event, the Academy’s leadership gave comprehensive answers to questions raised by representatives of the media.

The Academy of Justice hosted a presentation by the developers of the Wakil AI artificial intelligence platform, who introduced its key features, operating principles, and potential applications in the legal field. During the presentation, participants were shown how the platform can be used to quickly search for legal information, analyze legislation, prepare drafts of legal documents, and perform other AI-powered legal tasks. In addition, attendees received detailed information on the effective use of artificial intelligence technologies in the judicial and legal sector, their advantages, and their practical significance. At the conclusion of the event, the Academy’s professors, lecturers, and participants had the opportunity to ask questions and received comprehensive answers from the specialists.

During the meeting, the work being carried out in the priority areas of the Academy’s activities was reviewed, and reports from the responsible officials on the timely and effective implementation of the assigned tasks were heard. Following the discussions, relevant decisions aimed at further improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of scientific activities were adopted, and specific tasks were assigned to the responsible officials.

The Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Hosted a Ceremonial Event Dedicated to the International Day of Well-being of Judges and Court Personnel A ceremonial event dedicated to the International Day of Well-being of Judges and Court Personnel was held at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the leadership and representatives of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Court, judges and chairpersons of the courts of Tashkent City and Tashkent Region, as well as chairpersons and judges of inter-district courts. During the event, participants discussed the judicial reforms implemented in recent years, the favorable conditions being created for judges and court personnel, as well as the measures taken to support their professional activities and enhance their well-being. The participants also listened to the recollections of veteran judges, exchanged views on their professional experience over the years, and discussed the improved working conditions currently available within the judicial system.
