Today, the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a ceremonial event dedicated to the opening of the new academic year for participants of the professional retraining courses and master’s students admitted to the Master’s programme.

The ceremony was attended by the Academy’s leadership, representatives of the judicial and legal sector, partner organizations, faculty members, master’s students, participants admitted to the professional retraining courses, and representatives of the mass media.

The event marked the official opening of the new academic year, with congratulatory speeches and best wishes addressed to the participants. The participants and master’s students also took the floor to share their views and impressions.

On the occasion of October 1 — Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day, a ceremony was also held to honour and recognize the Academy’s faculty members who have made a significant contribution to the development of the educational process, the training of highly qualified professionals, and the enhancement of the professional potential of course participants.

Following the conclusion of the ceremonial opening, the first classes for participants of the professional retraining courses began. During the sessions, participants received their first theoretical and practical knowledge on the initial topics covered by the educational programmes.

The main objective of the event is to ensure high-quality training of candidates for judicial positions, enhance the professional potential of judicial personnel, strengthen the integration of education and judicial practice, and develop highly qualified judicial personnel who meet modern requirements.

The beginning of the new academic year marked a practical manifestation of reforms aimed at bringing the system for training highly qualified personnel for Uzbekistan’s judicial and legal sector to a new level.
