The 5th Samarkand Forum on Human Rights is being held in Tashkent and Samarkand on September 28–29, 2026.
The Rector and staff of the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan are also participating in the Forum. The event is organized by the National Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights.
The Forum is dedicated to the theme “The 60th Anniversary of the International Covenants on Human Rights and the 40th Anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development: Global Partnership for Human Dignity, Equality and Sustainable Development.”
The final stage of the Forum will take place on September 29 at the Ulugh Beg Madrasah in Registan Square, Samarkand. During the plenary session, the outcomes of the parallel sessions will be summarized, and conclusions and practical proposals aimed at strengthening the universal system for the protection of human rights will be presented.
Thus, the 5th Samarkand Forum on Human Rights is serving as an important international dialogue platform bringing together national and international experts, representatives of government bodies, UN entities and other international organizations to discuss pressing issues related to the promotion and protection of human rights, exchange best practices, and identify areas for future cooperation.
