Today, the Academy of Justice hosted a meeting with international experts, featuring Lei Shi, founder of SLLS Global and an international lawyer.

The event focused on the topic “Technology Governance, Artificial Intelligence and International Arbitration: Legal Challenges for Cross-Border Investment in Central Asia and Eurasia.”

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the legal regulation of technology and artificial intelligence, intellectual property protection, cross-border investment, data governance, export controls, as well as modern mechanisms for resolving international commercial and investment disputes.

Particular attention was paid to preparing for new types of legal disputes related to artificial intelligence and digital technologies, developing modern technological and legal competencies among judges and lawyers, and making effective use of international experience.

The event also featured the Q3 2026 issue of the international expert and analytical publication SLLS Global Thought Leadership — “TDG: Technology, Data, and Governance.”

For reference: Lei Shi holds professional legal qualifications in China, California (USA), and Hong Kong. He is a member of the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association, a member of WIPO Neutral, an external expert for the EU SME China IP Helpdesk, and a lecturer at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in Kazakhstan and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in Dubai.
