The Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has hosted the opening ceremony of a professional development course for deputy chairpersons of regional and equivalent courts.

The training course brings together 35 deputy chairpersons of courts from various regions of the country. The course is conducted over 5 days and comprises a total of 38 academic hours.

The opening ceremony was attended by Х.Yodgorov, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and A.Usmanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In their remarks, they highlighted the ongoing large-scale judicial and legal reforms, the importance of enhancing the professional capacity of judicial personnel, and the responsibilities of court leaders in ensuring effective administration of justice.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including the essence of judicial reforms, effective cooperation between courts and mass media, contemporary geopolitical developments, stress and time management, as well as current issues in judicial practice.

Participants will also have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practice of the Supreme Court and take part in practical sessions focused on the analysis of criminal, civil, and economic case law.

The course is aimed at further strengthening the professional knowledge and skills of deputy chairpersons of courts, enhancing their managerial competencies, and improving the quality of justice administration.
