Training journalists specializing in covering the judicial system

As previously reported (https://t.me/odilsudlovakademiyasi/4635) , the opening ceremony of a specialized training course in “Judicial Journalism” was held today at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The course has been developed as part of a partnership between the Academy of Justice and the University of Journalism and Mass Communications. Its primary objective is to equip future journalists with a comprehensive understanding of the judicial and legal system, as well as to develop their ability to cover court proceedings in an objective, accurate, and professional manner.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Kh.B. Yodgorov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications S.B. Rashidov, Rector of the Academy of Justice Sh.Yo. Abduqodirov, and Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan Sh.O. Oripov.

In their remarks, the speakers highlighted the масштабные reforms being implemented in the judicial and legal sphere, emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency and openness of the judiciary, and underscored the vital role of the media in fostering effective public engagement.

A total of 41 students from the University of Journalism and Mass Communications are enrolled in the course. The program provides them with an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the judicial system and acquire practical skills for professional coverage of court proceedings.
