A meeting was held at the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation headed by Ambassador Antti Karttunen, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Rector of the Academy Sherzod Abduqodirov presented information on the Academy’s activities, ongoing judicial and legal reforms, as well as efforts aimed at improving the system of judicial training and professional development of judges.

The parties highly appreciated the effective cooperation established between the Academy and the OSCE. In particular, they emphasized the importance and effectiveness of the regular training sessions organized for judges across the country on combating cybercrime.

The meeting also focused on promising areas of future cooperation between the Academy and the OSCE. The participants exchanged views on the development and approval of a Cooperation Roadmap for 2027–2028. Ambassador Antti Karttunen put forward proposals aimed at strengthening capacity in the judicial sector, organizing modern training programs for judges, and introducing international best practices.

The meeting was held in an open and constructive atmosphere. Both sides expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement new joint initiatives.
