Strategic Meeting with Distinguished Professors from the University of Salamanca (Spain) at the Academy of Justice
Today, the Academy of Justice hosted a high-level meeting with prominent scholars from the University of Salamanca, one of Europe’s most prestigious legal heritage sites — Professor Lorenzo M. Bujosa Vadell and Doctor Walter Reifarth Muñoz.
The meeting was attended by the Academy’s leadership and international legal experts to discuss the expansion of institutional cooperation.
The dialogue focused on contemporary procedural law, judicial mechanisms for the protection of human rights, and the ongoing digitalization of the judicial system. The Spanish delegation shared the University of Salamanca’s extensive expertise in legal education, particularly emphasizing their research on the judicial protection of collective interests and constitutional guarantees of due process.
⏺ The Academy of Justice proposed the following strategic initiatives to enhance the partnership:
💬 Specialized Masterclasses: Organizing advanced training seminars led by Professor Bujosa Vadell and Dr. Muñoz on "The Impact of ECtHR Jurisprudence on National Legal Frameworks" and "The Advancement of E-Mediation";
💬 Joint Research and Publications: Collaborative authorship of legal textbooks and scientific articles addressing pressing issues in procedural law to be published in international peer-reviewed journals;
💬 Academic Exchange Programs: Establishing short-term research fellowships and internships at the University of Salamanca for the Academy’s doctoral candidates and faculty members;
💬 Curriculum Development: Integrating specialized modules such as "Collective Rights Protection" and "Procedural Cooperation with International Criminal Courts" into the Academy’s training programs, drawing on Spanish legal insights.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to elevating scientific and educational ties. Both parties agreed to commence the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to serve as a formal framework for these ambitious initiatives.
