Scientific and Practical Conference Held at the Academy of Justice
Today, the Academy of Justice hosted a scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Issues Related to the Activities of the Investigative Judge at the Pre-Trial Stage”.
The conference, organized on the initiative of the Academy of Justice, focused on current issues in criminal procedural law, modern development trends of the investigative judge institution, and existing challenges in legal practice.
Representatives of the country’s leading higher educational and research institutions, experts in the judicial and legal sphere, professors, judges, and legal practitioners took part in the event.
During the conference, presentations were delivered on the prospects for the development of the investigative judge institution, ensuring the adversarial principle during pre-trial proceedings, improving the legislative framework, the role of international cooperation, and the historical and legal aspects of the institution.
Specialists from Tashkent State University of Law, Karakalpak State University, the Law Enforcement Academy, and the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan also shared their opinions and proposals.
At the conclusion of the conference, it was noted that proposals and recommendations aimed at further developing the investigative judge institution would be prepared.
